The elevator episode... This is where the romance plot between Sakura and Syaoran gets incredibly heavy...
Yukito is talking to Syaoran about Sakura... Syaoran is still confused and isn't quite sure about his feelings yet... he then spends the day with Sakura, and later Eriol cause them to be trapped in an elevator together. When a hole opens up in the elevator and Sakura falls through it, Sakura saves herself with the Float card and then Syaoran hugs her... the cuteness scale is off the charts.
Sakura noticed that Syaoran called her "Sakura" just now... she asks him if she can call him "Syaoran" from now on instead of "Li".
Episode 58
Yue and Kerberos are trapped in their true forms because of Eriol's spell... They wonder how anyone but Clow Reed could possibly have the power to do this.
Sakura gets Kerberos and Yue to help out with the chores... they talk about when Clow Reed used to make them do stuff like this... Wow lmao, Sakura notices that Yue was in love with Clow, but she's still oblivious to Syaoran's feelings...
Sakura transforms the bubble card to help with cleaning, and then uses Shield to undo the spell on Yue and Kerberos... Eriol is impressed that Sakura is able to transform cards so efficiently now... The more precious someone's feelings for what they're trying to protect, the more powerful Shield becomes... The fact that her transformed Shield card was able to undo the spell, means that Sakura's feelings are more powerful than Clow's at this point.
Episode 59
Sakura, Tomoyo, and the Ball Trap
Syaoran goes up against Eriol at basketball. Eriol says Syaoran is nervous because of a certain person in the audience, and gives him advice on how to calm down and focus.
Stay calm and don't lose yourself in the moment, and you'll become much stronger.Eriol approaches Yukito, and Yue comes out and instantly recognizes him as Clow Reed... instead of answering Yue's questions, Eriol just knocks him out and erases his memory.
Oh man... this scene with Tomoyo hanging out with Syaoran is great. Syaoran goes to visit her to ask for advice about his love life... This is one of Tomoyo's best moments...
I know a fellow Sakura-lover when I see one.
Sakura-chan is dumb, she won't know unless you tell her.
There are feelings that are best left in the heart... but are your feelings okay with that, Li-kun?Syaoran is finally about to tell Sakura, but then Clow's presence interrupts them, just like Nakuru always does with Touya and Yukito... This time, Eriol made a basketball come to life and turned the school into a maze... Sakura is worried about Tomoyo who is lost in this twisted school somewhere... Syaoran gives her a confidence boost, and then she hears Tomoyo's singing and uses the Shadow card to track her down.
Episode 60
Meiling returns to Japan on Syaoran's request... She avoids seeing Syaoran at first in order to hang out with Sakura and everyone else for a while... Then when she sees Sakura and Syaoran working together to fight some penguin statues at the park, and notices Syaoran referring to Sakura by first name... she realizes that Syaoran fell in love with her and he's about to break off their engagement.
Meiling goes to Tomoyo's house and cries... we're in full soap opera territory now... it's kinda similar to the love triangle thing that went on between Sakura's parents and Tomoyo's mother... but Meiling doesn't hate Sakura at all. Afterwards, she feels a lot better, and tells Syaoran that she won't forgive him if he doesn't tell Sakura about his feelings...
Episode 61
The last few episodes have been an emotional roller coaster... and now we get a really nice feel-good episode as a break from that.
Kero notices that Touya is suspicious of him, but Sakura thinks he's just being paranoid... Touya is also really suspicious of Nakuru by now, thinking that he's keeping her from telling Yukito the truth on purpose... Yue is losing power more and more and Yukito seems like he's on the verge of dying soon... Touya wants to meet Yue so that he can use his feelings to help sustain Yue/Yukito's moon power...
Syaoran still isn't able to confess to Sakura, because people keep interrupting him...
Later, when Sakura and Touya are about to go shopping for a present for their dad, she sense Clow Reed's presence again and has to get Mirror to fill in for her. Sakura uses Mist to take out the rampaging metal fence... Meanwhile, Touya doesn't even try to pretend he's fooled by Mirror anymore, and he buys a ribbon as a present, as gratitude for helping out Sakura so much... He's like "Your true form has long hair, right?"
Sakura also brought her cards a present, a recording of a song done by herself, with Eriol on the piano... and she notices the ribbon on Mirror's hair and wonders where it came from.
Episode 62
Eriol is helping out at the shrine where Kaho was in the previous season... I wonder if Eriol knows Kaho?
The fortune Sakura recieves from Eriol is very relevant...
The means to seek the truth is in your first dream of the year.Later, Sakura transforms the Dream card in her sleep... in her dream she sees Eriol and his guardians standing over the shrine gate... a black shadow comes and covers the sun + moon... It has a very similar ominous feel to the prophetic dreams she had in the first 2 seasons...
