Episode 46 - Within The Approaching Hurricane!!

Tsukushi mopes around some more.. her friends come over and help her redecorate her apartment, which cheers her up a little... Suddenly Shigeru appears in an Eitoku uniform...

Episode 47 - Exchange Student - Shigeru's Ripple!!

Sakurako declares rivalry against Shigeru, saying it's okay if Makino wins, but she won't lose against Shigeru... Makino sees Rui again, and tries to deny that they are going out when Shigeru pops up... Suddenly, Shizuka returns out of nowhere.

Episode 48 - Study Abroad??

As Tsukushi takes Shigeru away so that Rui and Shizuka can be alone, she overhears her asking him to come back to France...

I can't do anything for you.

Yes you can, you can play your violin.

He suddenly becomes cheerful for the first time in a while...
Tsukushi:

If only I could be as honest as her.

Shigeru figures out what happened and tries to cheer up Tsukushi.

Tsukasa shows up, Tsukushi goes tsundere again, tells him not to interrupt Rui and Shizuka, then insults him and runs away.

After going to listen to Rui's violin one last time... Tsukushi decides to go on a trip to try and change herself. She enters the test for the exchange program. Shigeru tells Tsukasa about this, and tries to get him to stop her, saying he's the only one who can change her mind... Tsukasa gets mad and says Tsukushi will never finish the exam. If she does, he'll run handstand laps around the school. Tsukushi hears this, and accepts the challenge.

Rui goes to try and change Tsukushi's mind... Saying that going away won't guarantee she changes...

Don't run away. Take stock of your feelings.

The night before the exam, Shigeru holds a surprise party for Tsukushi at her apartment, with Tsukushi's friends and 2 of the F4... She can't get any sleep that night. Tsukasa is there to greet her with coffee in the morning. He asks her if she's really going to go away if she passes the exam...

...She's in shock as she finds out she passed the exam.

Episode 49 - The Couple's New Connection

Tsukushi slowly starts to accept the idea of going away, leaving all her friends behind... While thinking about her friends, Tsukasa keeps popping into her head... Suddenly, Tsukasa comes and knocks on her door, asks her not to go...

This test was all part of mother's scheme to get rid of you.

He confesses everything about what went on between him and Shizuka... He admits that he hurt her, and says to Tsukushi "You're the only one for me."
Tsukushi backs out of his kiss... She says even if she did love him, she's not confident enough to live in Domyouji's world.

If you won't come, I'll leap into your world.

Finally, he gets his lips on her...
Tsukushi starts coming to her senses...

Tsukasa.. leaping into my world? ...It won't be easy for him... but I can believe him now.

Episode 35 - Lovers on The Run & Episode 36 - Tsukasa's Mother's Secret Plan

Mrs. Tsukasa rejects Tsukushi... Domyouji then runs away with her... They go on a yacht alone, and he tries to ask Tsukushi how she feels about him... She still doesn't know how to answer, but her actions speak for themselves... She acts weird and does stuff like intentionally moving in close to warm Domyouji up, accusing him of lewd thoughts, being nervous about the present she made for him... He doesn't eat the cookies, but compliments how they're made..

Mrs. Tsukasa goes to try and bribe the Tsukushi family to stay away from Domyouji... Tsukushi thinks this is ridiculous and starts to get mad.. her mother goes and dumps salt on Mrs. Tsukasa's head.

Episode 37 - It's Showdown Time!!

Tsubaki doesn't want her mom to make Domyoji suffer the same way she was made to suffer... she tries to find out what she's up to... Mrs Tsukasa forces Tsukushi, Tsukasa, and Tsukasa's fiancee Shigeru together in a meeting...

Domyouji tried to take Tsukushi's hand and run away from his mother... but he took his fiancee Shigeru's hand instead. This girl didn't know Tsukasa, and thought he was insane for dragging her off like that. When Domyouji realized he grabbed the wrong girl, he left her behind.

Of course, Tsukushi misunderstood this, and became furious... The next day Shigeru visited the school and met Tsukushi again... She thinks Tsukasa is weird, but says she'll fix him up... Then watches as Shigeru goes to hit on him... Unsuccessfully... She doesn't give up, and tries asking Tsukushi for hints on how to win over Tsukasa.

Tsukushi acts mean to her at first, and says their love affair has nothing to do with her... Shigeru apologizes for being a bother and says she's really bad at making friends.. Tsukushi feels bad and agrees to be her friend and help her. Shigeru notices Tsukushi's toy and asks where she got it... It was from Tsukasa when they were in Canada... Tsukushi suddenly remembers all that they've been through together... She still says that she's not interested in him, and agrees to help her.

Episode 27 - Tsukasa Goes to New York!!

Rui asks Tsukushi if it's okay that Tsukasa is leaving.. just like how she helped him when Shizuka was leaving... but Tsukushi's family now has money problems and she's too busy looking for a job to see Tsukasa before he leaves. Rui gives him Tsukushi's walkie talkie and says it's a gift from Tsukushi... He listens to it while he's on the plane... Rui:

Nothing happened between me and Tsukushi that night.

Suddenly, Domyouji immediately wants to go back to Japan... He somehow ends up in Vancouver, and calls Tsukushi and says he'll help her family with their money problems if she comes to see him...

Episode 28 - Tsukushi Goes to Canada!!

Apparently Tsukasa has a villa in Vancouver. the F4 and Tsukushi's classmates tag along to go on a trip there. Tsukushi still acts tsundere toward him and says she's only there for the money... Later, the classmates are jealous after seeing Tsukasa with Tsukushi, and they trick Tsukushi into looking for her friend Yuki out in the blizzard...

Episode 29 - His Body Against Mine

Tsukasa saves Tsukushi and sleeps with her in a cabin to keep her warm... Then back at the villa, she stops him from throwing a pot at her classmates who did this to her... Sakurako is pretty much entirely on Tsukushi's side and is really friendly to her now... Tsukushi and Tsukasa keep staring at each other all the time... Tsukasa tries to confess to her again, but a loud truck passes by as he says it. Tsukushi remains her usual self and says she'll work to pay back Tsukasa when she gets back to Japan.

Episode 30 - Do You Want a Friend?

Okay now this is getting weird.. Tsukushi meets a new guy at Eitoku. She thinks he's weird at first, but then finds out he's just like how she used to be at the beginning of the series.. then it turns he's a model, and he forces her to model with him and says it won't get published.

Episode 31 - Shock!! Horror!! Another Red Card?!

Tsukushi tries to quit being that guy's friend... Tsukasa sees them together, and that guy (Junpei) asks her whether she likes Tsukasa or not...
She can't answer...

My feelings for Tsukasa go beyond simple liking or disliking...

Tsukasa starts beating him up, she yells at him to stop...

Episode 25 - Two Ways of Love

Domyouji quits the basketball match at the last 10 seconds, when he was about to win by 1 point. Kazuya gets another point and it becomes a tie... he gives up on trying to expel Makino and Rui.

Episode 26 - Sleepless Night

Tsukushi is still confused by Rui's feelings... He never exactly said that he loved her... Meanwhile, she still can't stop thinking of Tsukasa.

Domyouji goes out walking around in has basketball clothing, gets harrassed by some guys, he thinks he hears them say Hanazawa Rui, and he starts beating the crap out of them... he remembers Makino's voice:

Hit me if you want! You're worse than a worm!

Akira and Soujiro wonder how far Makino and Rui have gone, so they use that fortune telling toy. They find out that the 2 have only just kissed. Tsubuki goes and puts the 2 of them into a bedroom for the night... Rui tells Tsukushi that he isn't sure how he feels about her, and that he's still thinking of Shizuka. She keeps thinking of Tsukasa the whole time she's looking at Rui's sleeping face...

Suddenly, Tsukasa announces out of nowhere that he's going to New York.

Episode 17 - Mine at Last

Tsukushi now finally knows that Tsukasa is in love with her... she doesn't know how she feels... he starts getting payback against the people who beat her up... Just then, Rui returns out of nowhere.

Episode 18 - Will You Go Out With Me

Sakurako is now the target of Domyouji's bully followers. Tsukushi actually starts to feel bad for her and helps her out, but still doesn't forgive her... Meanwhile, Rui has gone back to creeping on Tsukushi, joking about being interested in her...

Episode 19 - Be Still My Beating Heart & Episode 20 - Warm Night of Betrayal & Episode 21 - The Crime and Punishment of The Kiss

Tsukushi goes with the F4 to a private island villa... she's sleeping in the same room as Tsukasa. Since she hasn't responded to his confession yet, he decides to sleep on the couch... But Tsukushi can't stop thinking about Rui. She goes out late at night and meets him on the beach, and he tells her about how he broke up with Shizuka. Tsukasa starts getting suspicious, and then follows Tsukushi and sees Rui kiss her...

Kazuya and Sakurako also arrived at the villa, completely uninvited... Sakurako is now Tsukushi's main rival. After Tsukasa sees Tsukushi and Rui's betrayal, he leaves the island on his jet while Tsukushi, Rui, and the rest of the F4 are left behind and forced to go take Kazuya's boat to get back.

Tsukushi now feels terrible about breaking Domyouji's heart... she can't stop thinking of him now. Rui tried to cheer her up, but it's not the same without Domyouji there...

Later, Tsukasa kicks Rui out of the F4... Tsukushi tries to apologize to him, but he just ignores her... Rui notices that Tsukushi gets teary eyed whenever she thinks about Domyouji, he asks her out on a date to cheer her up. Sakurako declares that Tsukushi is no longer her rival, and she will take Tsukasa for herself...

Episode 22 - First Date at The Seaside

Tsukushi's date with Rui, she is disappointed that Rui is acting like his usual distant self, and not acting more like how Domyouji would act around her... She realized Domyouji's feelings toward her ever since that first date they went on, when he waited 4 hours for her... She pretended not to notice. Rui takes her to his old style japanese house... She just watches him fall asleep and then leaves.

Meanwhile, Sakurako is tailing Tsukasa all the time, trying everything she can to get him to like her... Wow, it's kind of like the reverse situation that Rui and Shizuka have, Domyouji has a crush who like him since she was little and ugly, he rejects her... and Makino Tsukushi is in the middle of this 5-way triangle. Except she doesn't want to even try to compete with Shizuka, while she is just fine competing with Sakurako. As soon as Tsukushi sees Sakurako and Domyouji laughing

Episode 09 - Domyouji Tsukasa Snaps!! & Episode 10 - The Woman Who Gave Up Everything

Domyouji has snapped because of Tsukushi saying she loves Rui... He starts beating someone up... Then he attacks Tsukushi and kisses her... Tsukushi is frightened by him now, and almost doesn't want to go to Shizuka's birthday party. She does go, and even though Rui is there, all she can think about is Tsukasa. She eats/drinks too much while keeping her distance and staring at him from far away... then she goes up to him, pukes on him...

Meanwhile, Shizuka announces she is abandoning the Todo family and permanantly moving to France. Tsukushi feels bad for Rui, and isn't sure if she wants to take this chance to try and get with him...

Episode 11 - Love Flies Over The Horizon

Rui doesn't see Shizuka off at the airport... Tsukasa is there.. Tsukushi actually agrees with him about how someone who is in love shouldn't repress their feelings, like Rui is doing.

This is where it really starts to deviate from the movie version...Rui was actually hiding behind a pillar the whole time. he has a ticket for the next plane to France. He thanks Tsukushi for convincing him to go after her. Tsukasa then asks Tsukushi out on a date, but a plane was flying by and she didn't hear... he acts as if it's confirmed.

Episode 12 - A Date in The Snow

The elevator scene... Tsukushi holds up Tsukasa on their date for 4 hours, he catches a fever, they get stuck in an elevator. Everyone knows about this the next day, and suddenly Tsukushi's classmates who bullied her before are now trying to be her best buddies.

Episode 13 - Love Moves Too Fast & Episode 14 - Sakurako's Secret & Episode 15 - Get Lost!! & Episode 16 - Please Believe Me!!

A crazy side story where Tsukushi gets drugged and raped by someone who reminded her of Rui... He turns out to be a housemate of Sakurako's... Sakurako, who acted really polite and says she's afraid of boys, is actually a slutty model, and used Tsukushi to get close to the F4. She got the guy to do that to her so she could take pictures of it frame her. In the end, Domyouji believed Tsukushi, and apologized to her...

Episode 04 - The Ordinary Duo

Shizuka arrives, Tsukushi realizes she doesn't have a chance against her. Tsukushi meets a guy who she knew in elementary school, and becomes friends with him. He just transferred here and doesn't know about the F4 yet. Tsukasa sees them together and gets jealous, then the guy gets a red note in his locker. She defends him, they run away, and Rui steps in to save her again.

Episode 05 - Him, Me, and That Guy

Rui isn't sure what to answer when Tsukasa asks him if he likes Tsukushi... Tsukasa then grabs Tsukushi by the lags... she struggles to break free...
Tsukushi:

You're hurting me! Let go, you moron!

Shizuka helps Tsukushi out and takes her to the bathroom... she tells her Rui might actually like her... she's moving to France to fulfill her dream, and Rui is asking her to stay rather than him wanting to go with her.

Later, Tsukushi meets Rui alone again... wants to ask him why he ruined his friendship with Tsukasa to help her, but holds it in... Tsukushi's friend Kazuya shows up... he insists on staying at this school with her, even if it means living with the bullying... he shows up with a pot on his head for defense. he asks Tsukushi out for lunch, she faints suddenly...

Tsukasa still acts hostile to Rui... he acts neutral and asks Tsukasa why he even approached him if they are no longer friends.

Tsukasa Domyouji shows up at Tsukushi's house when she's home sick... she treats him as an enemy, but as soon as she mentions his name, the parents suck up to him and invites him to dinner. While he constantly insults her cheap lifestyle, the mom doesn't let Tsukushi intimidate him. Tsukushi sees him eating with absolutely refined manners...

I keep forgetting... he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

The parents want Tsukushi to walk him home... they won't throw away the chance of their daughter marrying a rich guy like him. she rejects his date offer, and says she's going to Kazuya's villa instead. he became rich too out of luck. the parents then tell Tsukushi that Tsukasa brought her the talktoy she forgot. it had a get well message from Makiko.

Episode 06 - One Night Cinderella

Shizuka makes Tsukushi into Cinderella and invites her to a fancy yacht party. She just stands around daydreaming about dancing with Rui... then the lights

Either I'm really high or anime version of this is actually really good. I've only seen the live action version of this series before, and assumed the older anime version wasn't as good.

Episode 01 - Declaration of War!!

Starts off with a completely different tone... Tsukushi is already attending Eitoku... she just wants to get by the next two years with a peaceful school life... but she can't stand seeing the F4 bullying people. She starts calling them out, and officially makes her own "declaration of war" red note and slams it on Tsukasa's face. Meanwhile, her friend who she defended from the F4, is now pretending not to be her friend for her own safety, and only speaking to Tsukushi through stealthy talk-balk toy messages.

Episode 02 - No-Brand Woman!!

Tsukasa Domyouji has some shady men kidnap Tsukushi, and sends her to... a beauty salon. At first it's really eerie, it really feels like he's going to do something bad to her...

It costs more than you'll ever make. 420k yen, altogether.

Tsukasa tells her that Rui is already taken...
He offers to be allowed around him and invites her to this luxurious life, but at school he will ignore her.

You think you can buy me like merchandise?

I'm no-brand. Don't put me together with all the other girls out there.

She passes by Rui later... asks him if there's anything money can't buy... he goes: "Air.. dumb girl."

Episode 03 - I Won't Get Hurt!!

Now a group of girls who are obsessed with Tsukasa are bullying Tsukushi. She blames it on the F4 at first, then finds out the ones who were pretending to like her actually did it. They start ridiculing her about her crush on Rui, and the competition she has... Then instead of Rui, it's Domyouji who comes to save her from the bullies this time. She rejects his attempts of kindness with a punch to the head.

The other two members of the F4, Sojiro and Akira (who barely got any introduction in the 1995 movie) are acting nice to her now too... so now she's got the whole F4 on her side. Rui creeps on her a bit when he finds out she likes him... Tsukasa goes even further and changes his hairstyle to impress her...
