Episode 12 - It's Time to Fly

Mari freaks out when they find out they actually made it to the regional qualifiers... but Chika is depressed to find out that even despite the high view count on their video, Uranohoshi still has gotten 0 new applicants... So she decides they should go on another trip to Tokyo, to try and find some inspiration.

They go back to that shrine to meet Saint Snow.. these people say they were inspired by A-RISE... They say they intend to win, even though Aqours has more views than them.

Next they go to check out Otonizaka... Last time, Riko didn't want to go there. but now that she's been able to perform at the piano competion, she wants to go back there herself to get a reflection on how much she has grown... A student from that school can tell that these people are here because of muse... She tells them that muse didn't leave anything behind when they left this school... they wanted it that way. Chika sees a little girl running around who looks and acts just like Honoka...

Chika thinks about what she learned from that student.. and then suggests they all go to the ocean, the place where Aqours was born...

Chika understands now, what made muse great... instead of focusing on comparing themselves to others, they want to be free to fly straight ahead, from a place where there's nothing...

Episode 09 - Young DREAMER

Ruby tells the others what she knows from Dia about why they gave up being school idols back then, which is not the whole story but the gist of it...

Everyone is spying on Kanan doing her jog... at the end she dances around like an idol... Mari is there and applauds her for deciding to return to school... Kanan said she was only on leave because of her injured dad, and has no intention of becoming a school idol again.

After all this time.. Mari still wants Kanan and Dia to go back to how they were... Kanan just scolds her for coming back to this school, and says she doesn't want to see her anymore. Mari is bullying Kanan at school now, not leaving her alone until she changes her mind... Dia is trying to get Mari off her... Chika comes in and blows up at them, and tells them to come to their club room to resolve this.

Chika is on Mari's side, and asks Kanan to tell everyone why she gave up... Kanan leaves, and then they press Dia for why she was siding with Kanan... she tries to run away, but Yoshika catches her...

Dia reveals the reason Kanan couldn't sing anymore... It's not that she didn't want to, she couldn't... For the sake of Mari who was injured at the time... Mari decided to still perform despite her injury, and Kanan didn't want her to get hurt even more... After that, the reason Kanan didn't want to continue after Mari healed, was because of the offers Mari got to study abroad... Kanan forced the group to disband in order to help Mari not miss her big opportunity... That's why Kanan was angry at Mari for even coming back here in the first place.

Mari chases Kanan, then slaps her and tells her that she cares about her too just like Kanan does for her... She never wanted to go abroad in the first place... They realize they were both doing something for what they falsely thought the other wanted... Kanan makes up with her by doing what she did when she first made friends with her, back when Mari was a foreign transfer student... Kanan spoke "Hug" in English... The first time she was able to understand what a classmate was saying to her...

Episode 05 - Yohane Descends

Yohane is doing some ritual in her room... and then suddenly she turns back to normal and becomes Yoshika again. Yohane is like some alternate ego of hers, and she is embarrassed that she acted that way in front of her classmates earlier...

Hanamaru sees her at school, and convinces her to start attending class like normal again, and Yoshika asks her to help prevent her from becoming Yohane... but she breaks out her ritual stuff in class and does it again.

Ruby and Hanamaru are both in the same class as her. Ruby explains to the others that she used to believe she was a fallen angel in middle school, and she still hasn't fully broken the habit. Chika looks at one of the videos Yohane posted online, and says she's really cute, and asks her to become a school idol.

lmao... Riko is so terrified of Chika's dog that she does a crazy jump between two balconies to get away from it.

They try adapting the fallen angel theme to their idol performances, and Dia disapproves... Then Yoshika declines joining them and says she'll just go back to being normal... but Chika and the others still want Yoshika to join as her Yohane persona.. Chika figured out that muse became successful because they never held back their true selves.

Episode 01 - I Want to Shine!!

Chika Takami starts her 2nd year of high school, and she is determined to create a school idol club at her school after getting inspired by seeing the previous Love Live... Some grey-haired girl is helping her... You-chan, Chika's friend... She can't join though because she's already in the swimming club.

Chika isn't having any luck at all... she comes across a couple of very pretty 1st-years and asks them to join.. Ruby, the red-haired girl turns red when Chika calls her cute... the friend says she is very shy... Then some random dark-blue haired girl jumps in on them, pretending to be some kind of dark angel... Ruby's friend recognizes her as Yoshika, her friend from kindergarten or something... Yoshika tries to pretend she doesn't know what she's talking about and keeps acting weird...

Chika thinks she can probably recruit these 3 people later... then she meets a black haired 3rd year girl with mole, who is also the student council president... This girl hates school idol clubs for some reason, thinks they are silly and a waste of time, so she tells Chika she will not approve of this club no matter what.

That evening, Chika and You meet some blue haired girl who knows them, they eat together or something... Then later when Chika is walking around by herself she sees some long-red-haired girl about to jump into the cold ocean... Riko introduces herself, and says she wanted to hear the ocean in order to help compose a song she's writing for the piano... Chika tells her about school idols and why she is so obsessed with them... Riko says she's from Otonokizaka, the same school the first series took place in...

Then at the end of the episode, Chika is depressed when she realizes she doesn't know anybody at this school who is good at writing songs... and then Chika's class has a new transfer student, it's Riko... she happened to switch schools at this exact time for some reason. Chika invites her to join the school idol club, and she declines...

Summary:

Umi is suddenly the most nervous, paranoid person in the group now... used to be Hanayo that was the nervous one. After they get to America, they have to split up into 3s and ride a cab to the hotel... Umi is scared because she only has a note and no way of communicating... and it turns out Honoka misspelled the name of the Hotel and Umi's group got dropped off at the wrong place.. But Rin remembered the name of the hotel and managed to get them there somehow.

The group spends a whole day wandering the city looking for where they'd prefer to hold their live performance... This whole event lets them forget about the fact that they have to graduate/split apart soon... Eventually Hanayo bursts out into tears because all the places they've eaten at so far didn't have Japanese white rice.. so they went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner...

Then when they get on the subway to head back to the hotel, Honoka falls behind and then accidentally gets on the wrong train. She gets off at a random station and realizes she's lost... then wanders around randomly until she finds another Japanese girl singing in a solo street performance. This girl used to be in a Japanese idol group just like her... she talks to Honoka and gives her some tips about finding out what to do after the group splits up...

When they get back to Japan (not even half way through the movie), they're surprised to find out they are now super famous and they're overseas live performance is on a bunch of posters and video displays... They are now at the same level as A-RISE... They aren't used to getting so much attention from random strangers, and Umi seems to be freaked out by it.

Also Honoka's family business got increased sales because of her popularity, so she tells her sister she's gonna go and ask for allowance money.

When they return to school, all their classmates constantly bug them asking for when their next concert is... they don't know that they plan to break up after they graduate.. Maki theorizes that the fans don't even really care whether they are "school" idols or not... Nozomi suggests they have to hold a concert and use that opportunity to tell everyone that they are breaking up... then she eyes Maki when talking about what song they'll use... earlier
