Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru - 7 - Requiem of the Golden Witch recap part 1

A dream is something drawn in the sand between the coming and receding waves. Something so fragile that it is wiped blank each time the waves draw back.
Battler created a tale only for Beatrice to read, and nobody else... This way, nobody will be able to defile her tale. A certain truth, between the two them. No matter how some witch or theatregoer tries to spin the tale, the golden truth between Battler and Beatrice will remain in tact.

There's some scene with an unknown protaganist maid, who gets fingered as the culprit by some inquisitors of heresy... Then some guy shows up and says they got the wrong culprit. He starts going off about Van Dine's rule #11. It is forbidden for a servant to be the culprit.
That's right, we are inquisitors of heresy. Felling evil witches is our job. However, we must not risk hurting the innocent.
All humans have their own personal truths. Those should only be exposed when they commit crimes. We've been given the right to expose them.
But no one, not even god, has the right to expose the innocent truths of those who have not sinned!!
He says that detectives must not forget to find the motive... the heart... without heart, a detective is just an intellectual rapist. heh...

This guy's name is Will, but that's not what everyone used to call him... Head inquisitor of heresy in SSVD... Wizard-hunting Wright.
So that whole scene was unrelated to the witch's game, and was just to introduce Will.

Later, Will arrived at Beatrice's funeral. to meet with one of the family members. on Beatrice's coffin, there was a book with words printed on the cover:
To my beloved Beatrice. October 5th, 1986
...what th... Krauss introduces himself and... his daughter, Ushiromiya Lion. Now I'm officially confused.
Will is confused by this as well, saying Kraus's child is supposed to be Jessica.
Jessica's my little sister
Will called out...
I'm here. isn't it about time you showed your face?
Bern shows up in front of Will. Lion is able to see her too, but doesn't know who she is. Bern just made the catbox bigger by adding Lion, one of the pieces who has a possibility of appearing in the game.

Bern asked Will to solve the murder of Beatrice. He brings up Van Dine's twenty rules again.
Rule #1. It is forbidden to have a crime without all

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru - 6 - Tea Parties recap

Umineko Chiru Episode 6 Tea Party

So.. now the epitaph has been fulfilled. everyone has been revived, lost love has been reunited, and the witch has been put to sleep forever.
Ange: "Now what?"
No matter what Featherine's tale says, in the end Battler and the rest of them never returned from Rokkenjima.
Hachijo reappears, and thanks Ange for reading her tale. Ange asks Hachijo if the Featherine witch that appeared in the tale is her, or if she is really Featherine...
Then some weird dialog between Amakusa some henchmen that are plotting against the Sumadera group... I never really cared about this subplot. Then him and Ange move on to visit Rokkenjima as in ep4...

Umineko Chiru Episode 6 ????

Bern is upset about losing, and now can't find Lambda anywhere...
Yes... miracles don't exist in this world. To create a miracle, you need "an amount of time that can never be reached", a period that is no different from infinity.
When something that appears to be a miracle happens in a shorter span of time than that, it is not a miracle... but due to someone's design.
Bern follows a cat, and then meets Featherine, the one that used to be her master. She tells Bern that she has observed all of Beato's games, as well as Lambda's game and Battler's game, and has formed an answer for all the riddles...

Although the last part of the epitaph's riddle still eludes her. The part about the witch going to sleep forever.
But I have enough of a theory that if I actually went to Rokkenjima and investigated, I should be able to resolve that part as well.
Of course, since there is no single truth, my theory is probably only one of many possibilities.
She wants to go through her answers with Bern, the player... or something like that.
I'm going to be the Reader, right? I have no love, so a few things might be interpreted in an odd way.
Featherine:
I only want to check the answers... I'm not deeply interested in what sort of tale you'll create.
...Featherine makes Bernkastel the game master.
You can create whatever sort of tale you like to satisfy your grudge. However I have one condition... Answer all of the questions I ask for. No hiding, concealment, or tricks.
Bern starts setting up the pieces...
When the seagulls cry, there are no survivors.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru - 6 - Dawn of the Golden Witch recap

Ange meets up with Hachijo Tohya, a writer who has been creating forgeries of Maria's message in a bottle from Rokkenjima, and claims to know the full truth about it. Ange senses that this is different from what happened in the 4th game... Hachijo presents her newest forgery... "Dawn of the Golden Witch"
Whose piece am I this time?
Hachijo reveals her true form as a witch
In the past, I observed the Fragments through Battler's eyes. I want you to observe the Fragments that Beatrice has woven.
Now that he has succeeded the position of Game Master, Battler is not a suitable observer.
The Witch of Theatergoing, Featherine, just wanted Ange to read this newest bottled message to her. Ange and Featherine are observing this game on a higher plane than Battler, Bern, and Erika.

Battler is now using Beatrice as a piece... just like Sakutaro is a piece in Maria's game board.
That Beato was Battler's piece, and was supposed to be the same Beato.. however, since the real Beato was a lifeless Doll, this Beato took on the personality most desired by their master.

At the end of the first game, Bern mentioned that Beato exists as the incarnation of the rules. Battler intends to recreate the conditions that manifested the original Beato, so that this new doll Beato becomes the true Beatrice.
Battler's sin 6 years ago created Beatrice. Beatrice was his piece.

Featherine's forged stories have the same scent as Beato's, because she reached the truth just like Battler... Anyone who knows the truth can become an Endless Witch.

Featherine then invites the chick Beatrice to read the stories of the golden witch with her and Ange, so that she can become the golden witch that Battler wants her to be.

Beato wanders into the portrait of Beatrice, looking to find herself... she is surrounded in darkness... meets another version of herself with her hair down, and in a different outfit... This is before the portrait appeared. Beatrice owns the place at night. Kinzo is still trying to catch/revive her... she is powerless because of the shrine.
A result without an observer can possess an endless number of ways in which it might have occurred.
When people imagine that it was the result of a witch's prank... it is etched into the fragment as a fact... That's one of the foundations of magic. Decorating... the process. With magic, even a mass-produced stuffed animal

The day has come for the pigs in human clothing to be consumed by their garments

People do not live for the sake of clothing. I, Kiryuuin Satsuki, am rising up to overthrow the Life Fibers.
Honnouji Academy is the fortress I created in order to defeat you!
I pretended to obey you as I waited for this day to come.
Fear is freedom!
Control is liberty!
Contradiction is truth!
That is the reality of this world!
Every student here is a soldier that has been trained to fight you - no, to fight Life Fibers!
- she was on Nudist Beach's side all along. but then why did she fight them?
I have no need for half-baked allies. If you can't defeat my army, then you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell against the life fibers.

Kill la Kill series recap part 1

I watched most of this while high. holy shit... this is better than I imagined...

Episodes 1-3
- Matoi Ryuuko... a girl with half a scissor as a weapon, goes around picking fights with people...
- starts going to some strange academy, where people wear "Ultima Uniforms" of 3 different strength classes...

- Ryuuko's new sailor suit... she named Senketsu... is a godrobe... a level above ultima weapon, when it feeds on her blood.
- ... so even though Satsuki, the student council president isn't wearing an ultima uniform... she is on equal footing with Ryuuko, because her sword cuts through even a godrobe...
- Satsuki herself is wearing a godrobe, maybe? her dress... Junketsu... purity
- ... in order to master her godrobe... Ryuuko needs to get naked... make Senketsu part of her skin... that's what it means to master wearing it
- after their battle comes to a standstill...
- Satsuki made Ryuuko a proposal to defeat every student at the academy before deciding if she is worthy of fighting her.

Episode 4
Dawn of a Miserable Morning
- Ryuuko is almost late for school on no-late day... Mako drags her out in her pajamas, leaving Senketsu to be washed and ironed by Mako's mom
this is absolutely hilarious and brilliant

Episodes 5-6
- some guy with a mohawk, who hates godrobes, wants to get Ryuuko naked... part of some anti-uniform force. he shoots needles that sever the connection between life fibers and the human body.
- only Ryuuko can hear her godrobe's voice... Mako's family just thinks she's strange, talking to her uniform all the time.
- mohawk guy thinks godrobes can't talk, and don't care for humans... Senketsu proves him wrong, warning mohawk guy not to lay a finger on Ryuuko...

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru - 5 - Tea Parties recap

Umineko Chiru Episode 5 Tea Party

So, the Illusion of the Golden witch has disappeared, and the results of all the previous games painted over with a new truth.

Apparently the 7 sisters of purgatory that serve Beatrice, they are fakes that were created in USA... Kinzo was a sucker who paid big bucks for any fake occult object.

Bern gives Erika the temporary title of "Witch of Truth", and has her take over the sealed Rokenjima, to remove all traces of Beato's Illusion of the Witch. The Voyager witches, Lamdadelta and Bernkastel, travel across the countless glittering futures of possibility, and gobble them up... trying to escape their illness called boredom for as long as they can.

I guess some sliver of Natsuhi's truth still remains in ep5... so Erika now has to use ep6 to totally and completely smash the game board.

Then there's the Tea Party of those who are not human...

Umineko Chiru Episode 5 ????

In this place, the concept of death means nothing except that one has stopped thinking... Battler, pierced by the red wedges of Dlanor's execution... Beato goes up to it and says ".... you .... liar"
He recalls that conversation with Dlanor... Knox's Decalogue, the mystery genre's first line of defense... it is the proof that a mystery is solvable with the hints provided for the reader. Although it's supposed to be the opposite of fantasy, this method seems very similar to a Devil's Proof. In the past, Battler has always faught by using a Devil's Proof to imply an unknown element X. But that is anti-mystery.

Humans often refuse to even try reasoning it out because the lack of clues provided make reasoning impossible... that's what Battler did in the 1st game...
It's all useless
Then Beato sneered at him, asking him if he would repeat that over and over in an endless repetition of moves.
Battler is both anti-fantasy and anti-mystery. The reason he stopped thinking in the first game was because of lack of information... but even if he was given information, he would deny the basis of that info's truth. Beato then gave him what he wanted. Information that couldn't be denied. Red truth.

So... without Knox's Decalogue, Red Truth wouldn't be able to exist?
Though riddles are the only holes witches can live within, she began to give you the red truth, a method by which those riddles could be SOLVED.
Isn't this almost as though... Beato herself is admitting... that she

Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru - 5 - End of the Golden Witch recap

Episode 5 - End of the Golden Witch

Lambda and Bern, 2 witches that outrank Beato, and Virgilia doesn't even come close to them... these 2 want to resume the game in Beato's stead... Lambda as the new game master. Bern reminds Battler of Ange to convince him to continue with the game. Battler decides to take a break and have Bern substitute for him... Lambda can't do anything with Beato's game board that Beato couldn't do herself, but she can do things Beato wouldn't do. Maria is already dead when Battler rejoins the game.

Kinzo has the power to turn desire into reality, and is the only one who can control Beatrice...
A true monarch fears no hardship. They declare that they will overcome anything without fail.
He dies 2 years before the 1986 conference.. Natsuhi and Krauss have to deal with the inheritance problem... Natsuhi then convinces Beatrice to revive him with magic. she has to keep Kinzo away from the magic-resisting toxin to keep him alive.
Without love, it cannot be seen.
Bern solves the witch's epitaph, while giving Battler hints...
Behold the sweetfish river running through my beloved hometown.
You who seek the Golden Land, follow its path downstream in search of the key.
As you travel down it, you will see a village.
In that village, look for the shore the two will tell you of.
There sleeps the key to the Golden Land.
On the first twilight, offer the six chosen by the key as sacrifices.
On the second twilight, those who remain shall tear apart the two who are close.
On the third twilight, those who remain shall praise my noble name.
Twilight 4-8: Kill a single character
On the ninth twilight, the witch shall revive, and none shall be left alive.
On the tenth twilight, the journey shall end, and you shall reach the capital where the gold dwells.
The witch will praise the wise, and should bestow four treasures.
One shall be, all the gold from the Golden Land.
One shall be, the resurrection of the souls of all the dead.
One shall be, even the resurrection of the lost love.
One shall be, to put the witch to sleep for all time.
Sleep peacefully, my most beloved witch, Beatrice.
That hometown with the sweetfish river, is probably referring to something that's at least 11 or 13 characters long. First remove 6 characters, then tear apart the 2 characters that are close together, etc...

Natsuhi and Kraus, Beatrice's allies, were getting cornered. They didn't expect
