Warpio's Anime/Weed Log: Kill la Kill series recap part 2

I was really stoned when I watched the last 8 episodes of this, my mind was in a constant state of being blown...
I wrote down a bunch of notes to summarize what happened and highlight my favorite parts.

Episodes 17-20

- Kiryuin starts the great Hounouji Culture and Sports Festival
- Mako's family decides to go to the ceremony just for the food

The day has come for the pigs in human clothing to be consumed by their garments

- then, when Ryuuko and the Nudist Beach guys jump in to confront Ragyou and Satsuki Kiryuuin... Satsuki stabs her own mother and declares a rebellion.

People do not live for the sake of clothing. I, Kiryuuin Satsuki, am rising up to overthrow the Life Fibers.

Honnouji Academy is the fortress I created in order to defeat you!

I pretended to obey you as I waited for this day to come.
Fear is freedom!
Control is liberty!
Contradiction is truth!
That is the reality of this world!

Every student here is a soldier that has been trained to fight you - no, to fight Life Fibers!

- she was on Nudist Beach's side all along. but then why did she fight them?

I have no need for half-baked allies. If you can't defeat my army, then you don't stand a snowball's chance in hell against the life fibers.

- she speaks to the audience...

If this battle caught your eye, burn any REVOCS-made clothing in your possession!

- meanwhile Nui is casually fighting the devas...

When a lady changes her underwear, she leaves the past behind her!

- even while all this is happening, the Mankoshoku family just keeps not giving a shit and pigging out on food
- when Satsuki was 5, her father told her she'll be consumed by her wedding dress when she puts it on..
- meanwhile Satsuki already has the sewing club students waging an attack against the original life fibre...
- but it's too late... life fibres are already starting to take over people's minds and attacking Satsuki's group
- Ragyou:

One of your mistakes was bringing Matoi here.

... she takes over Ryuuko's mind and has her attack Satsuki
- she finds that Ryuuko is capable of going against Satsuki even without synchronizing with her godrobe.
- Ryuuko screams as she's about to punch Satsuki, then ends up punching herself... forms some little scissor with Senketsu and cuts the threads around her brain
- Nui confronts Ryuuko, boasts about killing her dad... Ryuuko tells Satsuki to take care of Ragyou

Don't lose
your way

- Ryuuko and Senketsu learn true synchronization and overpower Nui... Satsuki slices Ragyou's head off in one move
- they seem to have this battle in the bag... but the original life fibre awakens and starts attacking... Ragyou's body suddenly attacks...

So long as a shred of the skin on my neck - no, so long as a single thread of my neck stays connected, my body can regenerate.

- Satsuki hasn't truly learned to wear her godrobe... Ragyou knocks her out, takes Junketsu from her, and even breaks her sword
- COVERS, beings born from the original life fiber, are now descending from the sky
- finally Mako's family starts to care about all this when Mako is being carried away by a COVER's thread... one of the four devas tries to save her
- Ragyou takes out Ryuuko's heart and sees that it has binded with life fibers... says that Ryuuko is her other daughter..
so... Satsuki and Ryuuko are half-siblings
- Matarou and the dog are about to be eaten by covers, then Jakuzure the music club deva in a nudist beach getup comes to save them.
only her and Gamagoori are the ones left with ultima uniforms that can still fight for Satsuki
the four devas and the butler were the only ones who knew about Satsuki's betrayal plan
- if people wear clothing for the first 20 years of their life, their resistance to clothing completely disappears.
- Nui and the controlled humans are sewing the ultimate godrobe for Ragyou
- Mohawk guy joins the four devas to attack the COVERS... Gamagoori takes a big thread shredder thing and strips Mako out of the COVER
- these clothing covers are all connected to the original life fiber by a thread... cut that thread to defeat them... however, human-form covers have humans as an energy source, and can operate unthreaded. they need to extract the humans from within all of the covers to defeat the original fiber
- Ryuuko snaps out of her daze and starts cutting up all the covers in one swipe, while extracting the people within them...
Senketsu finally catches up to her... Ryuuko tells him to go away, and that she's never putting him on again... she hates Senketsu because he is the same breed of monster she herself is.
- meanwhile, Satsuki is sharpening her toenail to on the floor from where she is locked up... her mother's mistake was keeping her alive to use her
- Mako pops up to disagree with Ryuuko about them both being monsters
Ryuuko:

Senketsu wasn't the weapon created to kill his breathren... It was me!

- despite how stubborn Ryuuko is being, Mako won't give up either.. but even that isn't enough to snap her out of it
- Senketsu speaks to the others even though nobody can hear him...

Ryuuko was crying. it was she who was shedding bitter tears this time. I'll go after her. I can't leave Ryuuko on her own!

Although, I'm sure my words won't reach anyo--

Mako:

Senketsu, you want to go after Ryuuko, right?

Mako starts convincing the others to go after Matoi Ryuuko as well
- the devas/nudists/mankashoku group is now going after both Ryuuko and Satsuki
- they bring out the Nudist Beach's final trump card: The S.S. Naked Sun
- finally, Satsuki breaks free and starts using her toenail to cut up all the COVERS
- Nui tricks Ryuuko into getting caught by Ragyou... she's about to put Junketsu onto Ryuuko... Satsuki busts out and the four devas jump down to help her out in the same second...
- Junketsu start binding to Ryuuko against her will... the same thing that Satsuki went through...
- Junryuuko crashes down on their ship and challenges Satsuki
- Mohawk guy... he has always claimed that he'll never hesitate to kill Ryuuko if/when it comes down to it... he fails to even damage Junryuuko... suddenly
SenSatsuki comes out and challenges Junryuuko

wow... still 4 episodes left and the epic level is already way over 999'999'999

Episodes 21-24

- the life fibers in Nui's body resist all others.. she can't even use a godrobe if she wears one... that's why she's creating the ultimate godrobe just for her
Junryuuko is so different from Ryuuko... she kisses Nui, the one who killed her father...
- SenSatsuki:

I will crush all lapdogs to the Life Fibers without mercy, no matter who they are.

she has a regenerated Bakuzan
- by making as little skin contact as possible, one can draw out the Life Fibers' powers without falling under their influence.
Senketsu:

Whenever you put me on, I was being worn by you, and you were being worn by me." "Right now, you're just being worn by Junketsu.

- when Senketsu gets close enough to Ryuuko, she hears his voice...

Yes, Satsuki can't hear my voice. However, our hearts are as one. We stand together in our desire to bring you back to your senses.

- Satsuki distracts Junryuuko enough to have the 4 devas attack and strip Junketsu off of her.. all according to her plan
- Satsuki wrote her complicated plan on Mako's hands so her team would know what to do
- Gamagoori is about to succeed, then Nui barges in... says that she sewed the life fibers onto ryuuko's body so she can't take them off...
Mako decides to jump in to complain about how unfair that is
- Satsuki gets stripped of Senketsu... then Senketsu puts himself on Mako to save her
- Satsuki learns that Nui is still afraid of Ryuuko escaping... because she's still holding onto her half of the sword scissors... the last weapon that can oppose the Life Fibers.
she can sense the fear on Nui's face
- Satsuki rips a whole in Junketsu, and tells Senketsu to rip the life fibers out of Ryuuko's body
Mako understands both Satsuki and Senketsu's idea... she punches Ryuuko in the chest to put Senketsu back on her
Manketsu goes straight into Ryuuko's mind and tries telling her to put Senketsu on
- Nui healed from Ryuuko's scissor stab... and took the other half of the scissor
- Ryuuko/Senketsu easily get the scissors back... they can easily prevent the restoration of life fibers
- Ryuuko refuses to let Satsuki help unless she can take a fully powered punch from synchronized Ryuuko and still live... Satsuki agrees... the 4 devas come in to block Ryuuko's half-hearted punches. then she realizes... their relationship with Satsuki is just as incomprehensible as Ryuuko's relationship to Senketsu and Mako
- Satsuki: So basically, the life fibers intend to cover the planet and then turn it into an energy source, destroying it completely.
- Mako puts a two-star ultima uniform on to fight the COVERS and protect the ship

- when the two scissors cut the thread together at the same time, the threads lose their regenerative ability
twin Bakuzan's can do the same thing... breaking Satsuki's sword was Ragyou's other mistake...

- even though Nui now has no arms, she still intends to complete Shinra-Kouketsu

- Satsuki and Ryuuku are loosing to Ragyou... meanwhile Mako takes out all the covers... and the 4 devas take over the fight with their new 3-star uniforms
- Ryuuko followed Satsuki's plan... pretended to be cut in half by Ragyou... falling into the ocean... to take her out by surprise.
- the 4 devas attack Ryuugo together with Satsuki/Ryuuko
- the ship is just about to run out of energy before it strikes the core of the life threads... Mako's inspirational speech gives the energy wheel people their energy back

- even though the original life fiber has been destroyed, Nui still doesn't give up... she gives Ragyou the ultimate Godrobe, Kouketsu
- Satsuki can actually hear Senketsu now
Senketsu, realizing he is neither human nor clothing, attacks Ragyou himself, helping naked Ryuuko

- Nui, who couldn't wear any godrobes... puts on the greatest dress of all... the original life fiber

- Ryuuko borrows the power of every ultima uniform... takes Ragyou's Absolute Domination thing from her...
