Gakuen Alice manga recap/log part 4 (finale)

Resuming my log/recap of the Gakuen Alice manga... Jeez, this manga has turned entirely into a soap opera now... At first the story was light hearted and fun, like the anime, but now the story has become such a clusterfuck of complex relationships and heavy emotional moments... it's like woah, I can hardly even handle this...

Episode 09 - Young DREAMER

Ruby tells the others what she knows from Dia about why they gave up being school idols back then, which is not the whole story but the gist of it...

Everyone is spying on Kanan doing her jog... at the end she dances around like an idol... Mari is there and applauds her for deciding to return to school... Kanan said she was only on leave because of her injured dad, and has no intention of becoming a school idol again.

After all this time.. Mari still wants Kanan and Dia to go back to how they were... Kanan just scolds her for coming back to this school, and says she doesn't want to see her anymore. Mari is bullying Kanan at school now, not leaving her alone until she changes her mind... Dia is trying to get Mari off her... Chika comes in and blows up at them, and tells them to come to their club room to resolve this.

Chika is on Mari's side, and asks Kanan to tell everyone why she gave up... Kanan leaves, and then they press Dia for why she was siding with Kanan... she tries to run away, but Yoshika catches her...

She sure is your sister, Zura

Dia reveals the reason Kanan couldn't sing anymore... It's not that she didn't want to, she couldn't... For the sake of Mari who was injured at the time... Mari decided to still perform despite her injury, and Kanan didn't want her to get hurt even more... After that, the reason Kanan didn't want to continue after Mari healed, was because of the offers Mari got to study abroad... Kanan forced the group to disband in order to help Mari not miss her big opportunity... That's why Kanan was angry at Mari for even coming back here in the first place.

Mari chases Kanan, then slaps her and tells her that she cares about her too just like Kanan does for her... She never wanted to go abroad in the first place... They realize they were both doing something for what they falsely thought the other wanted... Kanan makes up with her by doing what she did when she first made friends with her, back when Mari was a foreign transfer student... Kanan spoke "Hug" in English... The first time she was able to understand what a classmate was saying to her...

Sailor Moon Crystal Season II high session 2

ACT 31 - Infinity 4 - Sailor Uranus, Haruka Tenoh; Sailor Neptune, Michiru Kaioh

Neptune and Uranus refuse to answer the other guardians questions, and attack them for no reason... Chibiusa still wants to believe they are friends.

Usagi and Mamoru both have the same dream again, about the deity of destruction... Rei is meditating by the fire, learning about the talismans...

One is Neptune's mirror. The three talismans which bring us destruction... where are the other two?

Usagi noticed that Haruka is Sailor Uranus, and Mamoru noticed that Michiru is Sailor Neptune...

Chibiusa is trying to make a clay sculpture of the holy grail for her homework... Diana says that Neo Queen Serenity owned the Holy Grail when she was younger... meanwhile Mamo and Usagi apologize to each other about them seeing Haruka/Michiru and being jealous... They both agree that there's something about those 2... like there's something they want to tell us...

The next Witches 5 member... Ami notices this girl at Mugen that has better grades than her, and goes to introduce herself... Yui Bido offers Ami a trial enrollment at Mugen. she gets there and sees a weird 3d hologram of a distant galaxy... feels like she was almost being absorbed into it...

The Tau Star System which our science class created as an experiment.

Viluy (Yui's real name) reports to Kaorinite to say that Ami was attracted to that miniature universe, showing that she is one of the guardians protected by a planet.

Viluy almost succeeds in brainwashing Ami with their computer program... Haruka and Michiru bust in to stop the lesson... Ami runs away and calls the others.

It's confirmed, the Death Busters control Mugen Academy.

Mercury transforms while jumping off like the 8th 5th story of the building into a pool. holy shit...

Sailor Moon and the others immediately come to join her... Then Haruka and Michiru show up...

We can't stay in this school anymore, I guess.

Then they transform right in front of everybody to take out the enemy...
Uranus unleashes her talisman... "Space Sword Buster"... OHKOs the daimons and Viluy

A couple of unknown Mugen science students introduce each other... 3rd year, Reika Nishimura, and 1st year, Setsuna Meioh...

Episode 05 - Yohane Descends

Yohane is doing some ritual in her room... and then suddenly she turns back to normal and becomes Yoshika again. Yohane is like some alternate ego of hers, and she is embarrassed that she acted that way in front of her classmates earlier...

Hanamaru sees her at school, and convinces her to start attending class like normal again, and Yoshika asks her to help prevent her from becoming Yohane... but she breaks out her ritual stuff in class and does it again.

Ruby and Hanamaru are both in the same class as her. Ruby explains to the others that she used to believe she was a fallen angel in middle school, and she still hasn't fully broken the habit. Chika looks at one of the videos Yohane posted online, and says she's really cute, and asks her to become a school idol.

lmao... Riko is so terrified of Chika's dog that she does a crazy jump between two balconies to get away from it.

They try adapting the fallen angel theme to their idol performances, and Dia disapproves... Then Yoshika declines joining them and says she'll just go back to being normal... but Chika and the others still want Yoshika to join as her Yohane persona.. Chika figured out that muse became successful because they never held back their true selves.

Episode 09 - With You and I
Wow, this plot takes a turn here...

They are now hiding out in a hotel... Shinkuro is telling Benika he has doubts about being able to do this job anymore, and also tells her that he learned that Murasaki might not even be a Kouhouin child...

Benika tells him about how the Kouhouins are a family that only breeds amongst themselves... The girls in the family are forced to live in the inner sanctuary, isolated from the outside world, until they become old enough to breed... and even after that they are still forced to live in the inner sanctuary until they die... The males of the family breed with their sisters in the inner sanctuary, then they marry a woman from outside the family to pretend that woman is their child's mother...

So... the woman that died in front of Murasaki... was that her real mother or her stepmother?

Shinkuro ends up convincing himself that he'll protect Murasaki no matter what... He then takes her back to the apartment so she can say goodbye to their neighbors and spend time with them one last time... Later, Shinkuro tells Murasaki about how his parents got killed by terrorists, and because of that he made himself into a monster.. Murasaki has incredible wisdom here, and tells Shinkuro that they are both in the same boat, and that the dead won't come back no matter how much you cry...

As expected, Murasaki's big brother comes and beats up Shinkuro, and forces Murasaki to tell Shinkuro that she must go back to the inner sanctuary, but she obviously doesn't...

Episode 10 - Accustomed Fear

Not much happens in this episode... Benika's subordinate consoles Shinkuro, and tells him that she too once failed one of Benika's job and the guy she was guarding got killed... At least Murasaki is still alive.

Murasaki's dad wants to wait until spring before moving Murasaki back to the inner sanctuary, but the older guy is having none of it.

Shinkuro convinces himself that he failed this job and he just has to move on and focus on other jobs... but his friends at school and his neighbors both think it's unlike him to quit like this... Finally he changes his mind and calls Benika over... Benika tells him that the job was only to allow Murasaki to see the outside world and fall in love with someone, and that job was successful... but Shinkuro still wants to protect her... he convinces Benika to help him get to the Kouhouin mansion.

Gakuen Alice manga recap/log part 3

Resuming my log/recap of the Gakuen Alice manga. This is dragging a lot longer than I expected... hard to believe there's still like close to 100 chapters left.
