The fifth season, Sailor Stars, starts right where the 4th season leaves off...

Setsuna came and took baby Hotaru from her dad. She's starting to awaken already, and is having visions of the future... calls out for Eternal Sailor Moon...
Some unknown voice from above talks to Nehelenia, and it breaks the seal trapping her in her dead moon world... Nehelenia is pissed to see that Moon and Chibimoon survived their plummet, and is determined to get revenge.
Chibiusa is about to go back to the future.
I'm calling your name, almighty god of time and space, guardian father, Chronos...
Nehelenia breaks through her mirror again, the senshi look up in the sky and see the pieces of the mirror as a bunch of shooting stars coming down... Haruka and Michiru get attacked by the mirror shards, which have turned into little copies of Nehelenia... Pluto shows up with Hotaru, and Hotaru instantly blows all the mirror shards away.
The revolution is coming...
The ending theme is so soothing... and the jigsaw puzzle animation in the background goes along well with it.
Episode 168
Mamoru's eye is filled with Nehelenia... a mirror shard got into his eye? yikes
Hotaru puts up a projection of her visions, and starts simulating all the events from the past in high speed... this is how she grows up and awakens really quickly.
The existence within a momentary twinkling of space which was made by somebody else...
Sorrow and agony are just illusions.
idk what's going on... Hotaru's vision shows the light of the white moon going out... then she remembers all of her past life, and fully awakens into Sailor Saturn.
The pieces of Nehelenia's mirror attack the 5 main senshi next... Then the 4 outer senshi show up, and the 10 Sailor Soldiers combine their powers to help the Moon Princess transform into Eternal Sailor Moon.
Episode 169
Mamoru is completely under Nehelenia's control, and starts collecting a ton of mirrors... other random people have a mirror shard in their eye too, and they all have an obsession with mirrors... this plot is really cool, way better than anything Zirconia and his goofball cronies did in the 4th season.
A white moon covered by the black darkness... The shining blond hair is attacked by an evil wish...
Nehelenia, who was sealed by the new moon, is becoming more of a tragic character than the main villain...
