The start of the 3rd season... Kaho has left the cast entirely, and the new "Kaho" is a little boy with glasses who transfers into Sakura's class. Eriol Hiiragizawa seems even more suspicious than Kaho did...
Eriol: "Perhaps we met each other before we were born."
Syaoran delays his transfer back to Hong Kong because of this new suspicious transfer student...
This season also starts showing more of Touya and Yukito's high school life, as they also get a transfer student... Nakuru is a really spazzy annoying girl who is instantly very interested in Touya and clings to him constantly.
Sakura realizes she can't transform her key into the star wand anymore, and her power changed the Clow book's cover to represent her new power of the stars. The weather starts going crazy and Sakura is unable to do anything about it...
Episode 48
Nakuru is obviously trying to keep Touya from telling Yukito that he knows about Yue... Touya can also sense that this isn't ordinary rainfall.
Kerberos and Yue are trying to figure out what's going on, but they have no idea... Sakura senses Clow Reed's presence... She manages to learn a new spell to unlock her star wand and transform the Clow cards into Sakura cards.
"The Card created by Clow, abandon your old form and reincarnate. Under the name of your new master, Sakura!"
That's pretty sick...
It's very obvious by now that Eriol, Nakuru, and one other person are involved in whatever caused this weather anomaly, and they're using Clow Reed's magic...
Episode 49
Sakura is exhausted because transforming a card used up a lot of her stamina. Syaoran is really cute when he goes to visit Sakura with Tomoyo and gets embarrassed...
Sakura uses the transformed Song card and Tomoyo's singing to take care of a possessed piano. Tomoyo's singing in this episode is sooo heavenly...
Episode 50
Sakura, Syaoran, and the Invisible Thread
lol what a brilliant title...
Syaoran is starting to feel useless, and wants to be of some help to Sakura... instead he gets caught in some strings and used like a puppet to attack Sakura. Syaoran manages to summon water to show the strings that are attached to him, and Sakura uses the transformed Sword card to cut them off.
The end of this episode reveals that Eriol is the one behind all of these events, along with his subordinates, Spinel Sun (a Kero-like character), and Ruby Moon (aka Nakuru, a Yue/Yukito like character). Eriol has Clow Reed's staff and uses Clow's magic which is why Sakura has been sensing Clow Reed's presence.
Episode 51
In the previous episode, Sakura and Syaoran both bought a bear-making kit, intending to use it to make a gift for Yukito... but deep down Syaoran wants to give it to Sakura. Yue knows this, so he gives the bear back to Syaoran after Yukito receives it. Yue explains that his moon powers just make Syaoran naturally attracted to him, and helps him realize that his true feelings are for someone else.
Eriol makes Sakura's teddy bear transform into a giant living thing, and Sakura has to cut off its ear to change it back to normal, ruining Yukito's gift.
