Episode 16 - The Trial of Pohjola

The Shiny Rod is already hinting towards the 4th word's awakening... Ursula tells Akko she's missing something that is required to awaken this next word.

If you want to breathe life into the words, you need to grow by your own power.

Lotte takes Akko and Sucy over to visit her family... things start to get really serious when a rare disease breaks out from their neighbor's cooking, and Lotte's parents get covered in moss and become immobilized... Lotte and Akko start looking for the ingredients needed to make the antidote, and then Sucy and Lotte get infected as well... Now it's all up to Akko to make the antidote and save them before they crumble. Akko kept being impatient and not waiting for the ingredients to fall naturally, but now that she's on her own and has her friends' lives at stake, she's starting to learn to use patience.

Akko helps a Yeti get his confidence back in order to make the last ingredient... but the deer that brought her there left and she has to walk back, and she starts getting mossy herself... Then she gets saved by the deer's owner and is getting more and more mossy as she gets back and starts cooking the potion... Then as she's using the shiny rod to stir the pot, she sees the rod light up... She remembers the 4th word's meaning.

To see it through... Patience is important!

Episode 12 - What You Will

Akko gets better at doing metamorphasis magic, and gets excited about the upcoming Samhain Festival, wants to win and become the Moonlit Witch just as Shiny Chariot supposedly did... but she isn't aware of how boring this festival is... Akko's team gets chosen to be sacrifices for the ghost. Sucy is actually excited to go inside a ghost...

Akko gets mad because everyone thinks Diana is gonna be the one to win the festival... Then she sneaks into the room where Diana is picking out a magic mirror to use... Akko gets transformed into Diana by the prankster mirror, then she plays a mean prank on Diana's friends... Then she finds Diana's room and sees her diary, and stops herself from reading it.
Then when she gets asked to do some difficult magic that Akko doesn't know how to do yet, the real Diana shows up and fixes everything, and scolds Akko for not focusing on preparing for her team's duty.

Actually I think Akko did read some of the diary... She seems to know about the fact that Diana is researching how to gain the power of the Grand Triskelion in order to revitalize magic to what it used to be...

Later that night, Ursula comes and talks to Akko, and gives her a confidence boost and hands her the shiny rod... then one of the shiny rod's lights glows and points to the Fountain of Polaris... She goes there to get advice... sees a scene from the point of view of some friend of Chariot... watching Chariot have fun practicing magic... Akko learns a new spell

Arae Aryrha

She realizes Chariot wasn't practicing in order to become the Moonlit Witch... she only cared about entertaining people. Akko tells her team she wants to put on a big metamorphasis show to make the ghost laugh when they do their sacrifice thing.. Lotte and Sucy think that's going too far, but Akko thinks having the ghost cry while eating them isn't very exciting.

Episode 13 - Samhain Magic Festival

Akko is so determined, that the other 2 eventually concede and agree to it. But she still has to practice her metamorphasis magic more to get better in time for the festival...

As the festival starts, Akko is still busy practicing and Diana thinks that Akko abandoned her duties... Then Diana goes out and puts on a crazy spectacular show with a bunch of water and

Episode 07 - Orange Submariner

Kagari struggling in her studies... Ursula gets reminded by Kagari of what her childhood dreams were like...

The higher up teachers tell Kagari that she'll be expelled if she doesn't pass the next exam.
lmao... One of Kagari's teachers is a fish, and she only just now found out that the fish is the teacher, she always just assumed it was a study period where everyone just stared at a goldfish.

The only thing keeping her motivated is that she wants to prove Diana's fortune telling wrong.

She almost kills professor Pisces, when she tries to bring her some fresh water to get on her good side... and then tries to rescue her and drops her down the drain... Lotte and Sucy and Kagari turn into fish and look around in the sewers to find the prof... but Kagari's spell doesn't work as well and turns her into a mermaid, still wearing the witch uniform and everything.

Meanwhile, Ursula makes a fake prof Pisces while the exam is going on... Kagari gets distracted by a fish that says her family is missing, and she goes out of her way to save the family (and also saved Pisces) from a poacher... Pisces gave Kagari a passing grade because of how she used what she learned in class and put it into practice by saving her... but Kagari still gets in trouble because she exposed herself as a mermaid in front of someone.

Ursula defends Kagari, saying it's more fair to compare Kagari now to how she was at first, rather than compare her to the other students... She even scolds the one bitch for not appreciating how Kagari always puts the needs of others before her grades and personal gain.

And also it turns out that the school IS benefiting from Kagari's actions, as the people realized that mermaid saved the last of an endangered species of fish.

Episode 06 - The Fountain of Polaris

Kagari has to stay after class to learn how to turn a rat into a rabbit, and misses out on a big event where some popular guy is visiting the school... She only manages to make herself into part rabbit... She finds out from her cards, about a fountain somewhere north of the school that can grant her extra power...

Diana is asked to show the 2 visiting guys around the school... One of them is into Diana.. one of them keeps talking shit about Luna Nova and magic in general. That rude guy walks off, and notices a rabbit girl sneaking through the halls, and catches her and grabs her ears... Andrew Hanbridge introduces himself to Atsuko Kagari... Then he tells his anti-magic views to Kagari, and Kagari confidently disagrees with him...

She tries the transformation spell on a squirrel to prove to him, but she just manages to give him donkey ears/tail instead...

Kagari feels bad, as they both are hiding from Diana and the others now...

At this point, we have no choice but to find the Fountain of Polaris.

She frees the monster guarding the Polaris Arch, and they manage to get away from it and find the doorway...

That moment when Kagari realizes she found the place that is shown on her card... running up to it... the feels... This place looks so magical... Kagari and Chariot are both there together... the bubbles around them show Chariot's memories or something... Chariot holds up the Shiny Rod next to this ball of mana... and some blue and yellow lights light up on it that are similar to the lights over the arch.. Kagari, standing behind them, receives a bunch of power flowing into her from the stars...

The Fountain of Polaris bestows the great magic power of the stars unto the witch with the hidden radiance.

Well almost... Ursula shows up and explains that she wasn't quite ready to receive this power yet... as Kagari is about to cry, Ursula hands her the Shiny Rod, and tells her to come back sometime in the future when she has the radiance needed to accept the stars' power...

Ursula undoes the magic and Andrew agrees not to tell anyone what happened... It seems Andrew's dad is the one teaching him not to believe in magic's usefulness.

Little Witch Academia (TV) high session 1

Episode 01 - Starting Over

Wow this is amazing... right from the opening scene you get this magical feel where this little girl is amazed and inspired by a great witch who is putting on a performance advertising for new students at the witch academy. Then you see her a bit more grown up, heading to that academy's opening ceremony and is super excited... but she can't find the bus that goes there. The bus stop is actually a ley line stop, where witches can get a ride on their brooms to the school with the help of a magical ley line. The main girl meets a few other girls that are on their way to school, but they shun her because she doesn't even know how to fly a broom. One of them is this quiet girl who's always reading something and doing spells to get the annoying girl out of her way... Then she meets some kind nerdy girl who is running late, and she offers to give the main girl a ride... but then the ride goes out of control because the main girl is carrying a packet of salty treats with her, and they crash into the quiet girl and they all fall into the forbidden forest.

The quiet girl wanted to come to this forbidden forest all along, but the other 2 want to get to the ceremony... The quiet girl chants a spell to make a giant chicken appear, and uses these 2 as bait so that she can steal a feather from this chicken... Then the chicken starts attacking and breathing fire at the 2 of them... The principal (I think the same witch from the opening) notices some students fell in the forest, and goes to help them... The main girl finds a magic rod, and she recognizes it as the same rod she saw from the opening when she was younger... The principal shows up as the 3 of them are falling to their doom, and she sees that the main girl has that rod, and tells her to chant a spell that warps them directly to the ceremony.. the 3 of them end up as roommates.

Sailor Moon Crystal Season II high session 4 (finale)

ACT 38 - Infinity 11 - Infinite–Judge

Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibimoon both summon a holy grail and become super... but even that isn't enough once Mistress 9 fuses with Master Pharoah 90. He even breaks through the barrier set up by the 3 outer guardians. Then Tau star system somehow appears and starts to engulf the earth...

Just when everything looks hopeless... Sailor Moon looks up at the bright moon in the sky, and remembers all those who have been protecting her all this time... That reminds her that all of their power is within her. She takes both the moon chalice and silver crystal in her hands and dives straight into the goop that makes up Pharoah 90, intending to unleash it inside him... Everyone prematurely thinks Sailor Moon has died because her light is gone... then, the talismans start resonating, and Sailor Saturn emerges out of Pharoah 90.

I am an emissary from the abyss of death. Protected by Saturn, the Planet of Ruin. Guardian of Silence. I am Sailor Saturn.

It's not the same without that Saturn music from the old anime...

She swings the Silence Glaive to bring destruction to Pharoah 90... "Death Reborn Revolution"
Pharaoh 90 realizes this girl is the power that brings destruction, that he saw from the beginning...

ACT 39 - Infinity 12 - Infinite–Journey

Just as Saturn is about to swing the glaive, Chibimoon's cry awakens Sailor Moon from within Pharoah 90... she activates the silver crystal and moon chalice again and jumps out... Then all the guardians get costume changes... A lot of spectacle for what is essentially nothing happening... Pharoah 90 is overwhelmed, and he tries going back through the portal to his home system "which turned into a graveyard of gravity that swallows even total darkness"
