Episodes 28-29

A couple episodes that focus on Jury and her confusing relationship with Shiori.. and a new duelist who returns, he happens to be the captain of the fencing team that Jury was filling in for. He's Jury's rival with Shiori, but it's more confusing than that. He shows Jury the End of the World and convinces her to duel Utena...

Episode 30

Akio shows up while Utena is getting scolded by teachers about her uniform.. Akio's the school chairman, so they're all afraid of him and he takes Utena's side. Utena starts falling for Akio and thinking of him as the prince from her childhood... Wakaba is also still trying to hit on him, and she shows up when Akio shows Utena his car.

I've seen this car before, is it a popular model?

... Wakaba gets herself a date with Akio, and refuses Utena joining in and says

Three's a crowd when it comes to dates.

Later, Utena hurts her foot playing basketball, because she's distracted thinking about Akio. Then Akio shows up in his car again, and takes Utena to the hospital.. she says Himemiya should come along too, but Akio says

Three's a crowd when it comes to dates.

...when they get back, Akio kisses her..

Utena talks to Himemiya in bed about her confused love affair.. the next day, Akio's fiance and her mother show up. The mother is worried that Akio isn't spending enough time with her fiance.. then Akio hits on the mother..

Throughout this episode, 3 candles keep being shown, and they go out one by one, as Utena thinks about her conflict between loving her prince and falling for Akio who is already engaged..

Episodes 31-32

Nanami meets Akio, and he invites her over for dinner, where she finds out Utena is in love with him... She also steals Touga's cell phone and finds out about all the girls he's cheating on... then she somehow deduces that Touga is not actually her real brother, that he was adopted.. she starts avoiding him and staying at other student's rooms.. when she asks Tsuwabuki to stay at his room, Akio sees this and forbids it, and offers Nanami to stay at his house instead, with Anthy/Utena..

My true dream is to turn the chairman's residence into a harem..... Just kidding.

Utena sleeps with Nanami, and talks to her about her problem... Nanami then goes to walk around, and sees Akio and Anthy... having sex...

Nanami starts spying on Touga hitting on one of her friends... she tries not to believe Touga when he says that he only treated Nanami like a sister because he was told to.. she gets in a fight with her friend...

I'm just like all the others now... just like all the girls that swarm around him.

Nanami sleeps with Utena again.. she tries to tell Utena that Himemiya and her brother are perverts... she gets another call from one of Touga's lovers... then suddenly...
Nanami:

Who is this? Tell me your name

Voice:

The End of the World. Touga Kiryuu is waiting.

She goes to Touga... says that she's transferring out of this school, because she still love him, but can't be with him...

There, can you hear it? If your soul has not truly given up... then you can hear the sound... that races through the End of the World.

Akio bursts in on his car... he's the voice on the phone.
Nanami tries to tell Touga what she saw Akio doing, but can't...
Akio:

What do you see with your eyes? Merely your own world. The world you perceive. The world in which you exist. A world like a labyrinth with no way out... where you are doomed by your limited point of view... to endlessly wander the same path. But what you truly need to see does not lie there.

Nanami confronts her friends, who no longer agree to do her bidding... she then shows up in the rose garden her beaten up friends, slaps Anthy, and challenges Utena to a duel. she brings Touga and pulls a sword out of his chest...

Whenever Utena defeats someone in a duel, that person loses their fighting spirit, and cries, before going back to their normal happy selves...

Episode 33

Some flashbacks happen while Akio is driving and talking to the silhoutte girls on his phone, they're asking him questions about eternity, he doesn't answer... Utena is on a date with Akio, just talking about cooking and random slice of life stuff...

Then at the end, it shows Utena in bed with Akio... she looks very conflicted and full of guilt... she asks him

What is eternity?

During this ep, Anthy is just looking at the stars in the planetarium. (just realized Anthy/Utena's beds are in the middle of a planetarium.. that's cool).. Anthy says she prefers looking at fake stars...
