Episode 21 - Wagandea

The 6th word, Lyonne, is one of the most precious words there is... Akko hears this and wonders if Ursula managed to figure out that that word is... She can tell that she's getting really close to Chariot now...

Croix tells Akko about a legendary tree where Chariot discovered the 6th word, and Akko wants to go there but Ursula says its too dangerous while that tree is releasing its pollen... Diana agrees that it's too dangerous... Witches hit by Wagandea's pollen lose their ability to use magic.

Croix brought Akko to the tree anyway, saying it's still not in bloom yet... She says Akko needs to climb the tree without using magic to unlock the word, and then tells Akko to be suspicious of Ursula, as she didn't want Akko to come here for some reason...

Ursula finds out about this from her familiar, and goes to check it out, and meets Croix... more backstory... this tree is where Chariot and Croix prayed for the power to make their dreams come true... Croix wants to be the world's strongest witch, while Chariot wants to make people happy... it was Chariot that got chosen by the Triskelion. I guess Croix hated Chariot ever since then.

Ursula says Croix is scared of Akko reviving the Grand Triskelion.
Croix:

Akko doesn't have a clue about the Grand Triskelion. The staff erred in choosing its owner, just as it did before.

Akko refuses to listen to Ursula, and continues climbing, and Croix fights her to stop her from rescuing Akko... but then as Ursula gets hit and falls, Croix saves her... Ursula remembers the scene when this happened before...
Croix:

It's already too late to save her.

Ursula goes anyway... Akko sees the pollen coming down from above, realizes it's all over, and falls... Ursula catches her and they just barely manage to escape before it hits them... I think it might've hit Ursula though...
Aww... this scene is really sweet... they're both apologizing to each other... and their bond together unlocks the 6th word, Lyonne...

Ursula also adds:

Not a single person has ever seen the top of Wagandea. Wagandea has no end.

Croix is so obsessed with the Grand Triskelion, she's doing anything she can to destroy it...

Episode 20 - Sense and Sensibility

Akko and Andrew are both trying to persuade Diana to stay at Luna Nova, but she still refuses... As she starts going through the path to the ritual, Diana's aunt comes and attacks her with snakes... Akko and Andrew overheard Diana's cousins and aunt talking about how they attacked Diana...

The older woman hears about this from Akko, but isn't sure what to do because of the how it's said that a calamity will occur if someone disturbs the ritual... Well, it's already too late for that, Diana's aunt already did disturb it.

Akko fights the snakes by changing into different animals... When she gets bitten by the snakes she's like "This poison is nothing compared to Sucy's..."
Diana gets freed, but then sees that Akko has passed out from the poison... Diana gives up on the ritual in order to save Akko. Then when Diana tells Akko her sad story about how she's the only person left who can keep the Cavendish family legacy alive...

I had no idea you had such a heartfelt dream. There's no way you can give up on a dream that's so important to you!

She even says Diana can both become the head and still attend school... Akko believes Diana can somehow work this out and achieve both her dreams... become the family head and still attend Luna Nova.

If anyone can do it, it's you! Believe in yourself, and your heart!

Akko is so special... Suddenly, her staff is glowing.

Diana:

When traditional and modern powers mingle, the gate to an unseen world will open. It's a saying that has been passed down throughout the generations.

Akko summons Shiny Chariot's broom, and Diana and Akko use it to zoom straight to the shrine before it's too late... Diana's relatives are there trying to stop her with snake magic, and Diana dodges it easily... Then suddenly her relatives are being eaten alive by plants... The calamity that befalls those who disturb the ritual... lmao owned

Diana saves them instead of completing the ritual... the time is up... She sees Beatrix's ghost... I'm not sure, maybe she did actually complete it and just doesn't know that right now... Suddenly her family problems are solved. Her servants say they can protect the house while she goes and follows her true dream and go back to Luna Nova...

Episode 19 - Cavendish

Diana remembers as a kid, learning from her mom about their family's ancestor, Beatrix, one of the Nine Olde Witches...

Sybilladura Lelladybura - When traditional and modern powers mingle, the gate to an unseen world will open.

Now, she's decided she needs to drop out of Luna Nova in order to go and become the new leader of the Cavendish family. Akko finds out she's leaving and tries to go stop her... Says she's started to love Luna Nova and all the people she met here just as much as she loves Chariot, and she doesn't want her rival to leave.

I have never once viewed you as my rival.

She tells Akko that it's up to her to revive the Grand Triskelion, and then leaves.

Here you get to see Diana's situation at home... She only came to Luna Nova for a short break from her duties, and had to be called back before she could graduate because this place now this place needs her more than ever. Diana's aunt seems like a bitch.

Akko gets Diana's address from Ursula, and goes there to try and convince her to come back. She hitchhikes there and gets picked up by Andrew, who was invited to Diana's place for dinner... Diana prevents Akko from being kicked out immediately, and lets her stay over and use her old dress that her mom made for her when she was 11... lol Akko is ashamed to admit it fits her perfectly.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this... Diana has this little chest that she doesn't want Akko touching. It actually has a Chariot card in it... She seems to have a lot more in common with Akko than I thought.

During dinner, it quickly becomes obvious what's going on... Diana's aunts are selling off all of their family's heirlooms. That's why Diana was needed back home, and why their mansion has started to decay and become less well kept... They've been selling off all the magic out of this place.

Episode 18 - Sky War Stanship

This episode has Akko hanging out with Constanze, the short, mute girl. I guess she's kind of another technological witch like Croix.. Akko accidentally breaks one of her robots, and then she starts trying to make it up to her but just constantly bothers her instead... This feels like a Dexter's Lab episode...

Constanze is working on something for this ghost hunt event she's participating in called "Wild Hunt"... When Constanze in unable to borrow a thing she needs from the cooking fairies, due to her being mute, Akko gets it for her easily. Then Akko finds out what she's trying to do, and sees that one of her magic cards points to where another thing is that Constanze needs. Akko goes there and steals the item from an old man, and transforms into a penguin to slide down away from him...

lol.. I wonder when Akko is finally gonna learn how to fly a broom. I mean technically she probably just needs to realize she can fly by turning into a bird or something, and then use that same sort of thinking to power her broom flight, right? Doesn't seem like it should be that hard, but she's just that terrible at magic.

Meanwhile, Croix is studying something regarding this Wild Ghost Hunt thing...

A bunch of people are outside watching for the ghosts that were rumored to appear... Akko is riding with Constanze on their flying boat and catching all the ghosts. Then Croix comes and sends out her demon cube things to possess all the ghosts, and the ghosts turn into demon crows and start attacking everyone. Then when the witches start fighting them, the crows combine and turn into a giant crow monster. Then Akko and Constanze use metamorphasis on their ship and the episode turns into a blatant Gurren Lagann knockoff.

Burning souls turned into magic power! The seven shining stars of justice! A believing heart is our magic! Mahou Senshi Grand Charion! On stage!

They can't actually fight against the monster though because they used up all their magic just transforming into this thing. Ursula is there flying around, she uses a megaphone and asks all the other ghost hunters to lend their power. Then they do an epic drill attack to defeat it.

Episode 17 - Amanda O'Neill and the Holy Grail

Ursula says the Shiny Rod is hinting towards the 5th word... Something to do with history and tradition. Akko tries to get professor Croix's help, but she doesn't know ancient magic too well, only modern magic.

Amanda helps Akko sneak into some boys school where the holy grail is said to be found... Akko thinks it has something to do with the next word. Amanda is doing it because she's rebelling against the school and wants to drop out... She dressed as a boy to infiltrate the school, and Akko changed to a mouse and travels in her pocket, and scares some guy... He thinks it's a witch's familiar...

We had them all eliminated in order to prevent the deception and corruption of witches in our holy place of learning!

Then Andrew comes in, Akko tries to hide hear face... Andrew already what Mouse Akko looks like. Andrew can't understand why Akko wants to find these "word" spells, when nobody is making her do so...

Akko finds the holy grail easily, after seeing some magic things flying into it. Meanwhile Amanda catches Louis cheating at poker, and gets mad and outs herself as a witch and gets captured. Akko gets captured too after stupidly jumping at them in mouse form... Andrew comes in and tries to stop them from executing the witches, even though it's in their school's tradition... Instead, Louis agrees to duel on a bridge with Amanda, another part of their tradition... Akko thinks this might be the key to reviving another word.

Amanda wins the duel, and Louis goes and breaks the grail... its contents fly out and go into a knight armor and possesses it. Then the armor possesses Louis... Amanda is helpless against him now, since she doesn't have access to magic. Only Akko has the thing that lets them connect to the ley line from here. Akko gets Andrew to untie her and throw the magic machine to Amanda so she can defeat the demon knight. The school decides to let the witches go...

Akko realized this grail never did have anything to do with the word, just that it had some kind of demon inside it... Turns out this was Croix's doing all along...

This was an okay episode, even though not much happened. I think I like the episodes where a word gets unlocked a lot more than the other

Episode 16 - The Trial of Pohjola

The Shiny Rod is already hinting towards the 4th word's awakening... Ursula tells Akko she's missing something that is required to awaken this next word.

If you want to breathe life into the words, you need to grow by your own power.

Lotte takes Akko and Sucy over to visit her family... things start to get really serious when a rare disease breaks out from their neighbor's cooking, and Lotte's parents get covered in moss and become immobilized... Lotte and Akko start looking for the ingredients needed to make the antidote, and then Sucy and Lotte get infected as well... Now it's all up to Akko to make the antidote and save them before they crumble. Akko kept being impatient and not waiting for the ingredients to fall naturally, but now that she's on her own and has her friends' lives at stake, she's starting to learn to use patience.

Akko helps a Yeti get his confidence back in order to make the last ingredient... but the deer that brought her there left and she has to walk back, and she starts getting mossy herself... Then she gets saved by the deer's owner and is getting more and more mossy as she gets back and starts cooking the potion... Then as she's using the shiny rod to stir the pot, she sees the rod light up... She remembers the 4th word's meaning.

To see it through... Patience is important!

Episode 12 - What You Will

Akko gets better at doing metamorphasis magic, and gets excited about the upcoming Samhain Festival, wants to win and become the Moonlit Witch just as Shiny Chariot supposedly did... but she isn't aware of how boring this festival is... Akko's team gets chosen to be sacrifices for the ghost. Sucy is actually excited to go inside a ghost...

Akko gets mad because everyone thinks Diana is gonna be the one to win the festival... Then she sneaks into the room where Diana is picking out a magic mirror to use... Akko gets transformed into Diana by the prankster mirror, then she plays a mean prank on Diana's friends... Then she finds Diana's room and sees her diary, and stops herself from reading it.
Then when she gets asked to do some difficult magic that Akko doesn't know how to do yet, the real Diana shows up and fixes everything, and scolds Akko for not focusing on preparing for her team's duty.

Actually I think Akko did read some of the diary... She seems to know about the fact that Diana is researching how to gain the power of the Grand Triskelion in order to revitalize magic to what it used to be...

Later that night, Ursula comes and talks to Akko, and gives her a confidence boost and hands her the shiny rod... then one of the shiny rod's lights glows and points to the Fountain of Polaris... She goes there to get advice... sees a scene from the point of view of some friend of Chariot... watching Chariot have fun practicing magic... Akko learns a new spell

Arae Aryrha

She realizes Chariot wasn't practicing in order to become the Moonlit Witch... she only cared about entertaining people. Akko tells her team she wants to put on a big metamorphasis show to make the ghost laugh when they do their sacrifice thing.. Lotte and Sucy think that's going too far, but Akko thinks having the ghost cry while eating them isn't very exciting.

Episode 13 - Samhain Magic Festival

Akko is so determined, that the other 2 eventually concede and agree to it. But she still has to practice her metamorphasis magic more to get better in time for the festival...

As the festival starts, Akko is still busy practicing and Diana thinks that Akko abandoned her duties... Then Diana goes out and puts on a crazy spectacular show with a bunch of water and
