Kara no Kyoukai movie 3 recap

Kara no Kyoukai: The Garden of Sinners - Remaining Sense of Pain box cover art
July, 1998: Remaining Sense of Pain

It starts off with this girl who can't feel pain, suddenly feels pain in her stomach after she gets raped/beaten up, and is really happy about it... Kokuto finds this girl and helps her out... next day Shiki gets assigned a new mission by Touko... she hears the description, and says she doesn't even need to look at the picture of the suspect this time.
She's my kind. We'll definitely try to kill each other the very moment we meet.
Kokuto borrows money from his friend in exchange for going to look for this missing person... That purple haired girl who can't feel pain is shown killing some random guy, asking where "Keita" is... she probably wants to see this guy again because he is the source of the lingering pain she felt that night...

Azaka is talking to that purple haired girl (Fujino) in a diner, and Shiki comes up to them to tell Azaka that her brother Kokuto stood her up... then Shiki notices something about Fujino... "Doesn't it.. hurt?"
She looks at her for a bit longer... "No... it's not you."
Azaka really seems to hate Shiki, and wants her to stop hanging around her brother.

The guy that Kokuto was asked to look for is "Keita"... he finds out that all of Keita's friends are being murdered one by one.

In the next scene where Fujino uses her mind powers to kill someone by bending their body... she says she needs to do this in order to become "like everyone else"... she doesn't really want to do it.
That's not true.
She criticizes her for how she goes about killing people...
A person who didn't end his life like a human isn't human anymore. A person removed from the boundary line is deprived of all his meaning. Common sense can't deal with things like that corpse, or you.
They're just about to start fighting, but then Fujino hesitates, and Shiki notices something is up with her again. She says..
Nevermind, it's worthless to kill you now. go home.
Fujino describes the time when she was a kid, and cut herself while playing with a knife... she didn't understand what her mom was saying about how "it must hurt"...
she never learned what pain feels like... until now.
I finally acquired pain, I'm alive.
Kokuto finds where Keita is hiding, and he freaks out when Kokuto plays the messages he got from Fujino.. he explains how she
used to act like a lifeless doll, until this one guy hit her in the back with a baseball bat and caused to to finally feel pain.
I was relieved to find out she also felt pain. I remember it because she acted like a human that night.
Later, after Kokuto brings Keita to Touko's office to protect him, Touko explains her theory about Fujino...
She probably recalls the pain of being stabbed whenever she things of the times she was violated, causing her to kill people.
Shiki:
You're wrong, Touko. She really does feel pain. The pain she's feeling is still in her body.
A wound that hurts... even after it's completely healed, huh?
Then when Touko hears that Fujino got hit in the back with a baseball bat...
That explains it. The guy's full swing temporarily cured her insensitivity to pain. The pain she felt for the first time must be one of the impulses driving her to murder.
Before Shiki heads off to find Fujino again, Touko gives her this card of a person who she suspects is really behind this whole thing... hinting at the next chapter I guess.

Fujino remembers the scene where she first met Kokuto after school, and she had to pretend her ankle injury hurt... later Kokuto goes to see Fujino's doctor, and finds out from him that she did in fact used to feel pain when she was younger.

More revelations from Touko:
Fujino's sensitivity to pain must've been taken away by her father.. It's the exact opposite of what the Ryougi family does.
Kokuto realizes that Fujino's condition is reversable, so Shiki doesn't actually need to kill her at all. Him and Touko are now rushing to find Shiki before she does it.

Touko explains that Fujino didn't really get stabbed in the stomach that time... she only thought she did. It was at that exact moment that her sense of pain returned again, and she confused that for the feeling of being stabbed, and used her powers to kill him before he could actually stab her.
That doesn't make sense! If Fujino's sense of pain returned, she wouldn't have felt pain. She'd realize she wasn't stabbed.
Then it must not be the stab wound that's hurting her.
While Shiki has already started fighting Fujino, Touko explains about Fujino's appendix illness that she's had all this time. Shiki probably wants to kill her because she can't stand how she's been indiscriminately killing instead of killing with purpose...

Shiki's arm breaks, but after that she is able to see Fujino's attacks and repel them easily.
Your power is a spiral of red and green. It's truly very beautiful.
Everything in creation has a flaw. Humans don't even need to be mentioned. Air, intent, and even time. My eyes can see the death of things. So I can kill anything that lives. Even if it's god.
Shiki is about to kill her, and then she uses her powers to make the whole bridge they're on collapse... after that, Fujino starts coughing blood and falls because of her illness... she starts thinking about Kokuto, and realizes she actually has real human emotions now... she lays there saying "itai... itai..." and things that end in "itai"

Shiki goes up to her and says the same thing that Kokuto once said to her... "If it hurts, you should've said so."

When Touko and Kokuto show up, Shiki explains that she killed the disease in Fujino's stomach, and they still have a chance to save her.

Apparently this is before the 1st movie? Cuz Touko says she'll make Shiki an artificial arm to replace the one she broke, and says she'll make it "able to defeat spirits."

At the end, Shiki and Kokuto have an argument... Kokuto feels bad for Fujino and doesn't really care about the people she killed... and says the same about Shiki...
I'll bear all of your sins for you.
Shiki:
You always joke about that stuff with a straight face. I confess, Shiki had a hard time dealing with those jokes.
Shiki says she's figured out what she wants after today...
It's vague and fragile, but I'll have to depend on it for now. It turns out what I'm depending on isn't as ugly as I thought. I'm a little happy because of that. A slight... just a slight murderous impulse that's leaning towards you.
holy fuck... what a crazy yandere... but what's even crazier is how much of a cuck Kokuto is...
Come to think of it, that was the first true smile she showed me ever since she woke up.
It doesn't say the date of this chapter until right at the end.
