Sailor Moon Crystal Season II high session 3

ACT 34 - Infinity 7 - Transformation, Super Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon awakens the Holy Grail and pours its contents into herself, to power up and transform into Super Sailor Moon, stop her allies from fighting each other, and change everyone's brooches into hearts... Kaorinite and Tomoe are shocked at how strong this power is.. Hotaru is in pain.. then suddenly she changes personalities and answers Pharaoh 90...

That is the legendary silver crystal.

Super Sailor Moon destroys the last of the Witches 5 easily... Hotaru looks into her crystal and taunts Kaorinite. Sailor Moon explains how the wish she made on the Holy Grail allowed them to stop fighting... The outer guardians realize that all along the talismans were trying to get them to join Sailor Moon. They explain to her the last time the talismans resonated like this, back when the Silver Millenium fell to ruin, and the 3 of them could only watch from afar... at that point their talisman's resonated, and the 3 of them met up at the taboo planet and awakened the soldier of destruction.

They see in Neptune's mirror, that the garden of ruin, Sailor Saturn, Hotaru Tomoe, is soon going to awaken again and bring about the end of the world...

Uranus and the rest say that the only way to stop the awakening of Sailor Saturn is to kill Hotaru... Sailor Moon begs them to find another way, but they don't agree, and they become enemies again.

Chibiusa immediately goes to try and save Hotaru... but when she shows up (the outer senshi are watching from the bushes), Hotaru's evil side suddenly awakens again and she becomes a tall hair demon woman, takes Chibi Moon's silver crystal and knocks her unconscious and out of breath.

ACT 35 - Infinity 8 - Infinite Labyrinth 1

Right away, the doctor in the hospital says that Chibiusa has passed away...
Haruka and the others come in and explain that it wasn't Sailor Saturn just now who awoke... that was the enemy's influence on her... she took not only the silver crystal, but ChibiMoon's soul as well.. the only way to save Chibiusa is to kill Hotaru and get it back...

Mamoru says Chibiusa's body will not last if they don't get the soul back soon... They take her to Mamoru's place so that he can use his powers to link up with Chibiusa and keep both him and her on life support... Mamoru and Usagi have a really emotional moment together...

Professor Tomoe and Kaorinite come in to greet Mistress 9, and bow to her... the prof implanted Mistress 9's egg in his daughter's body in order to reawaken her... When he explains this to Mistress 9, she notices Hotaru's mind inside her coming to know this information as well... Mistress 9 is Pharoah 90's partner, and she gives Kaorinite her next mission.

When Mistress 9 is presenting the silver crystal to Pharaoh 90, Hotaru's voice is talking within her again... she says that crystal is protected by Chibiusa's soul... Hotaru is tied up in vines within Mistress 9's mental world...

Kaorinite revives the Witches 5, and they set up an "Infinite Labyrinth" for the sailor guardians who are coming to save Chibiusa... each one gets lost in an illusion by one of the Witches 5 members... Venus is with 2 of them... Moon is in an illusion where Chibiusa and the outer guardians are fighting her... Meanwhile in reality the outer guardians have snuck in looking for Hotaru so they can kill her... Mamoru senses Sailor Moon is in trouble, and while he's keeping Chibiusa alive, he does his confidence boost line to Sailor Moon and she heard it from a psychic link or something...

Neptune sees in her mirror that the guardians have been sucked into the enemy's white ooze... they're busy battling the overgrown plants that have taken over the entire academy... but Sailor Moon has already arrived to where these 4 are. she takes on all 5 of the Witches 5 at once, but they overwhelm her... Uranus uses Space Sword Buster to force their way through the building... Neptune uses Submarine Reflection to vaporize the witches, and Pluto uses Chronos Typhoon

Wow this has some really nice art...

It starts off with a very sad and emotional tone already...

This girl's mom is very worried about her... and she sends the girl away to live with her aunt/uncle in the countryside for a while to help her relieve her asthma... these relatives have a much lighter mood.

The intrigue picks up really fast... Something about this has a really interesting vibe to it.

The girl is exploring this rural town for the first time... She gets nervous when she comes across some girls around her age, and runs away and falls down some stairs... Sees a very familiar looking mansion across the pond... Walks through the pond to the mansion... The atmosphere here is very mysterious... After she finds that nobody is at the mansion, she suddenly wakes up, laying in the back yard of this place... She runs out the gate, and sees that the small pond she walked across before is now a huge lake... Like the one she looked out at from her balcony...

Umi, a schoolgirl who works as a cook for a family that lives by the port... or something... She raises and lowers a couple of flags every day in order to send a message of some sort...

Then she meets this guy, Shun, at her school, who is in the school newspaper club. He makes himself popular by jumping out of a building as a demonstration to protest their old clubhouse being demolished for the sake of the olympics... later Umi and her sister go to this clubhouse... It's very untidy and full of weird stuff... It looks really amazing... and then for some reason Umi starts helping Shun with the newspaper and being really friendly with him... She keeps spending more time with him and being late for her work...

Now the school is having a political debate on whether or not to demolish the clubhouse.. Shun's side is losing...

Umi invites him over... and she explains the story behind her raising the signal flags... Her dad is a sailor, and she used to raise those flags on her balcony every day, to help him find his way home.. but one day her dad's ship sank during the Korean war...

Later, a bunch of students are helping clean up the clubhouse for the first time in forever, to help convince the others that it's worth keeping...

Yawn... there's a bit of interesting stuff here but most of it is boring. at least the background art is nice and some of the girl characters have really cute facial expressions. Umi's sister is really cute.

It starts getting interesting again when Shun finds out that he has the same dad as Umi... He starts acting cold to her... Then Umi has a really emotional dream where her parents came back...

Episode 12 - It's Time to Fly

Mari freaks out when they find out they actually made it to the regional qualifiers... but Chika is depressed to find out that even despite the high view count on their video, Uranohoshi still has gotten 0 new applicants... So she decides they should go on another trip to Tokyo, to try and find some inspiration.

They go back to that shrine to meet Saint Snow.. these people say they were inspired by A-RISE... They say they intend to win, even though Aqours has more views than them.

Next they go to check out Otonizaka... Last time, Riko didn't want to go there. but now that she's been able to perform at the piano competion, she wants to go back there herself to get a reflection on how much she has grown... A student from that school can tell that these people are here because of muse... She tells them that muse didn't leave anything behind when they left this school... they wanted it that way. Chika sees a little girl running around who looks and acts just like Honoka...

Chika thinks about what she learned from that student.. and then suggests they all go to the ocean, the place where Aqours was born...

Chika understands now, what made muse great... instead of focusing on comparing themselves to others, they want to be free to fly straight ahead, from a place where there's nothing...
